Children’s Programs

We are a church that loves people to love Jesus Christ.  This is never more apparent than in our Children’s Ministry.  No matter if you come every Sunday or just to the big community events, every child is loved.  Every child is special.  We love kids!

On Sundays, we have programs for your child at all worship hours.  We have infant, crawler, and toddler nurseries.  We have options and activities for children 2 years old through 5th grade, including the excellent KidSpace program. KidSpace is the place to be for our 1st through 5th graders!  It will engage your kids with fun, edgy, truth-packed teaching.  Lessons not only teach the Bible, but how to apply what they’ve learned to their everyday lives.  Throughout the year we create different scenes from the Bible, and children learn the importance of their relationship with Jesus Christ.  Multimedia, hands-on learning with special programs will keep your kids coming back each Sunday!

We’re not just all about Sunday mornings.  We have groups and activities that your kids can get involved in that meet during the week.  Whether it’s our church-sponsored Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops, or our 5th grade FRAT House, or our children’s music program, there is plenty to meet the needs of kids and parents alike.

And don’t forget to come to our larger than life community events!  Each year, these events grow strictly through word of mouth.  Kids are having so much fun, and it’s a joy for us to witness and be a part of their lives.  Check back often for the latest info on events like The Pumpkin Jam, Eggstravaganza, and SCAMP!

F.R.A.T. House (Fifth Graders Racing Ahead to Tomorrow)

5th Grade is an exciting year for your child.  They are starting their last year in elementary school and Middle School lies just ahead. Children’s Ministry has developed a program for 5th Graders called F.R.A.T.  House (Fifth Graders Racing Ahead to Tomorrow). This program was specifically designed to help your child transition from Elementary School to Middle School in our church.  Our monthly activities will give your child a taste of what is to come for next year.  We have found that this program really helps your child connect to their church and with each other.

We meet on our EAST Campus on the 1st Friday of every month from 6 – 8 pm, but we do have a few exceptions so watch the Dates & Locations on the website. We serve dinner at a cost of 3.00 per student.

We will send you a postcard and an e-mail every month with the upcoming F.R.A.T. House information and events.  We know your 5th Grader child will have a great time at F.R.A.T. House and encourage them to bring friends to share in the fun-the more the merrier!

Children’s Music

We’re a church that loves music, and loves to worship.  And some of the best worship times are when our children’s groups are allowed to lead us and share their talents with us.  We’ve got a dedicated team of volunteers that have a passion for music as well as a passion for kids.  Each school year they put those passions together to create memorable moments for kids and adults alike.  All children’s choirs meet weekly during the school year. If you have any questions about any group listed below, please contact Carla Mayo at cmayo@mandarinpres.com
