As the Senior Pastor of MPC, it’s been my privilege to serve this vibrant congregation for over 20 years. I believe that this church is blessed with the capacity to do truly great things with our amazing resources: our staff, our members, our volunteers. It is our goal to really love people to love Jesus Christ! My wife Patti and I are Ohio transplants and have four grown children; I love playing golf and watching Ohio State football, a challenge in a congregation of Gators and Seminoles.
I am excited to serve as Pastor of Congregational Care here at Mandarin Presbyterian Church. I am passionate about pastoral care and the privilege it is to walk alongside others in times of joy and need. As I serve in this capacity I look forward to equipping others to do the same. I value the importance of nurturing one’s faith and relationship with Christ, through small groups, fellowship and Worship. I am thrilled to be able to serve in ministry, alongside my wife Jenn. We have three beautiful and active daughters, Jaden, Rylee, and Reese. I enjoy time with family and friends, running and the outdoors.
It is a great privilege to be a part of the pastoral staff and worshiping community at MPC. As the Associate Pastor of Next Generation ministries, it is my joy to oversee all that we are doing with children, youth and families. I am passionate about equipping the church and parents to fulfill the promises we make at baptism. We all have a critical role to play in loving our next generation to love Christ! My husband, Jeff, and I have three fabulous daughters, Jaden, Rylee, and Reese and have been married over 16 years.
As pastor of young adults and small group ministry I am passionate about igniting a desire to follow Christ in everyday life. I have seen God transform lives through small group ministry as people study Scripture, serve, worship, care, and have fun together! I am also thrilled to minister with college and young adults to develop in them an abiding relationship with Christ. I am thankful for the opportunity to work with my husband Chris in ministry to new members and adults. As a native of Seattle, I developed a love for hiking, biking, and the outdoors. I also enjoy painting, game nights, and a cup of tea with a book or a friend.
It is an honor to serve as the Director of Teaching and Adult Discipleship for this fun, loving community. I grew up in Dallas and have lived in New York, Princeton, and most recently Indianapolis. I am very excited to live near the beach for the first time! My ministry is discipleship – equipping and sending our community to be Christ’s hands and feet wherever they are. I oversee Adult Education, Men’s Ministry, and work with my wife Jessica on Young Adult ministry and new member classes. My greatest passion and goal is for disciples of Jesus to become “rooted and built up in him and established in the faith.” (Colossians 2:7) Jessica and I have been married three years, and I am thankful everyday that she works across the hall from me. I love to read, play tennis and basketball, guitar and piano, and to spend time outdoors.
As the Director of Worship & Arts, I work to create and facilitate a relevant and authentic worship experience of various styles where people can encounter Jesus Christ. I lead the Sanctuary Choir, Praise Team, Praise Band, and oversee all other areas of adult and children’s music. I’m originally from Western Pennsylvania and a life long Pittsburgh Steelers fan as well as a diehard NASCAR fan.
As Co-Director of Student Ministry, relationships are very important to me. I love going out with middle and high school girls and their leaders and getting to really know who they are. I love being creative and planning the best events and environments that I can so that those students can fall in love with and have a true relationship with Christ. And I love working alongside my hubby Daniel and being able to grow that relationship every day. When not at the church or with students and leaders, I enjoy a good book or movie, a bubble bath, going to the beach, seeing the penguins at the zoo, and running around with my crazy boys Alister and Oliver.
My wife Tiffany and I have the best jobs in the church! High schoolers and middle schoolers are in the midst of discovering who they are, who they want to be, and how to make it in this world. It is a great privilege to just be with them in this time while introducing them to Jesus, helping them understand God in a deeper level, and helping them to live out their faith. Tiffany and I have been married since 2005, worked at the church since 2006, have two awesome boys, a dog, a cat, and we love watching movies and going for walks in our free time! Oh yes, the Chicago Bears rock!
I love serving in the Student Ministry as Administrative Assistant, overseeing the “behind the scenes” side of weekly programs and youth trips. I have a passion for leading, loving, and understanding students, right where they are. Born in Jacksonville, but raised in West Virginia, I put up with more than my share of “West Virginia” jokes! My husband Dean and I have enjoyed raising three beautiful girls – Alyssa, Angie, and Morgan.
As Parrish Associate at MPC, my focus is on making sure that our senior members are included in our ministry of sharing the love of Christ with all of our community. Part of my work here is assisting in the J.O.Y. meetings with “just older youth”, visiting those who are homebound or not able to attend our services, and assisting the pastoral staff as needed. My wife, Sandy, and I have two grown children and six grandchildren. We are native Floridians and have served churches in Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina.
Out of my many years of volunteer experiences in Children’s Ministry, God has given me the passion for kids to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. This opened the door to step in as the full time Children’s Director, overseeing the many exciting programs we have for kids, as well as recruiting and connecting other volunteers to this vibrant, growing ministry.
I am the Children’s Ministry assistant. This position has been a perfect fit for me? I love children, being creative, and sharing my love of Christ. This position allows me to do all three, and so much more. My position here is part time so I am able to watch my wonderful grandson during the week. In my spare time I enjoy photography, scrap booking, and just spending time with my family.
As the Director of MPC’s weekday Preschool (MPP), it’s my joy to oversee a staff of very dedicated women who seek to educate over 160 preschoolers in all sorts of ways and shapes. It delights me to witness the growth of the children in many ways and shapes and to minister to the families of these children. Isaiah 61:3 says, “We are planted by God to display His glory.” Seeing God’s glory displayed at MPP makes my heart sing. My husband, Craig and I have been married for over 30 years and are proud parents of two married daughters. A recent joy included the birth of our fourth grandchild! I also love college football – especially the Seminoles. Go FSU!
As the Church Administrator for MPC, I work with a terrific group of folks who do their best to ensure that the buildings and grounds are in great shape, that our church is fiscally sound, that you receive current, factual information on our programs and opportunities, and that you feel cared for and connected and loved by a staff devoted to serving you, our members and visitors. My husband Mike and I have three grown children, Lauren, Katie, and Patty. We love Jaguars football and traveling.
My administrative duties include working with the Pastoral Staff and the Director of Music. I also keep busy as Membership Secretary, Calendar & Events Coordinator and newsletter publisher. When my left brain is tired, my right brain takes over as Handbell Director. I’m an avid sports fan (especially football, NASCAR & golf), reader and love a good movie! Gary and I have a daughter, son-in-law and are proud grandparents to their son.
Some of my responsibilities at MPC as an administrative assistant include providing support for Pastoral Staff, Care Connections Ministry, and many of the small groups in the church. My first “love” is church music and I have been the organist at Mandarin Methodist Church for over 10 years. My husband Mike and I have two grown sons, Mark and Matt. When we are not working, we love cruising with our friends, both in boats, and Mini-Coopers!
I am the Bookkeeper for the church and Preschool. I’m responsible for accounts payable, weekly church deposits and member contribution statements. I’ve been married for many years to my husband Mike and we have four children: Kyle, Tyler, Kelly, and Sean. In our free time we love spending time at the beach, boating and playing sports.
My duties at MPC include financial statement preparation and analysis, and payroll. I enjoy working part time so I can spend time with my family. My husband, Dan, and I have two children, Kaylee and Riley. We enjoy our weekends following the kids around to various soccer games and tennis matches.
As the Communications Director, my responsibility is to ensure that everything that represents Mandarin Presbyterian Church and its ministries is communicated in a clear and concise message, that it looks professional and adheres to the ‘brand’ of MPC. This includes all print, web, video, and social medias. I am excited about finding new ways to communicate, declare, and promote ‘The Greatest Story Ever Told’ and I feel blessed to be working in a profession that I love doing. My wife, Tina, and I have three very active boys, Greyson, Parker, and Davison. I’m a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan and I do not plan on switching to the Jaguars!
I strive to ensure that all of MPC’s buildings and grounds are maintained and cared for in the best possible manner so that all of our church programs can function efficiently and provide the best environment for our congregants. My wife, Celeste, and I have been members at MPC since 1997 and have two grown children, a daughter, Jamie, and a son, Brit. I am a University of Florida Alum and a huge Gator fan and love worshiping with all of our many friends at MPC.
My responsibility as technical engineer is to provide quality audio and video for all MPC events. I also ensure that all of MPC’s audio and video equipment is maintained and in working order. I am new to the Jacksonville area but spent a good portion of my life in Central Florida. My wife Marissa and I have one child and his name is Owen. In my spare time I enjoy playing music and watching Gator football.
I am so blessed to be serving as the Nursery Coordinator at Mandarin Presbyterian. I love having the privilege to work with the precious children, their families and staff of our church. My husband Kurt and I have been married for 20 years and have two daughters Caitlin and Cassidy. We have been members of Mandarin Presbyterian Church for over 10 years. I also love serving as a Deacon, have been a part of our wonderful women’s ministry team, and currently serve as a leader for our middle school youth program. What a blessing to see God at work in each of these areas and our church as a whole.
I enjoy family time as much as possible and love spending time at the beach or in the mountains.
My job at MPC is the Kitchen Coordinator; I am responsible for providing meals for special events like the Congregational Dinner, JOY Luncheon, and Men’s Monday Luncheon. I am so excited to have this opportunity to serve as “Kitchen Coordinator” for MPC. It was truly a blessing when God opened this door for me. Over the years I have served as a deacon, a greeter, and in the children’s ministry at MPC.
My amazing husband, Bryan, and I have 2 wonderful sons, Brandon and Bryce and a soon to be sweetheart of a daughter-in-law, Katie. We love spending time together as a family, watching sports, playing board games, and visiting Mickey as often as we can! We love Christmas at our house and have an average of 60 trees, 8 trains, and 16 animated characters displayed in our home during the month of December. The front lawn is displayed with thousands of lights and animation as well. JEA loves it when the Haye’s plug in for Christmas!
And when college football starts, our favorite chant is….”O-H-I-O” go BUCKEYES!
