Welcome
Whether by accident or someone’s recommendation, you’ve found your way to our website and we are very honored.  It’s our intention to create a worship environment that will meet you where you are.  No matter where you’ve been.  No matter what your church experiences have been like in the past.  Our hope is that you feel welcomed the moment you step foot through our doors. Read on for a good idea of what you'll experience with us, how to get here, what kind of services we have, and what’s available for your children.

Current Series

As we begin the summer of 2010, we will be spending the next weeks exploring relevant texts from Scripture, as well as celebrating all the things God is doing in our congregation and community. We'll have the opportunity to honor our graduates. To send off then hear about our youth's trip to Costa Rica. To reflect and laugh at all the great things that happened at SCAMP. This summer is so full of great opportunities and we hope that you'll be a big part of that.
What Can I Expect From My First Visit?
As you enter our building, from one of many entrances, our greeters will be there, poised and ready to give directions, answer any questions you may have, show you where nurseries or children’s areas are, or just give you a friendly smile letting you know how glad we are to see you.  If you have children, you’ll want to take advantage of our safe and secure nurseries and children’s areas, designed just for them.  Once you enter the main sanctuary, our ushers will make sure you can find a seat.  Now all you have to do is sit back, relax, and worship with us!
When Are Your Services / What Are They Like?
Each Sunday, Mandarin Presbyterian offers two worship services. We really attempt to bring creativity and variety to our services.  We love to sing.  We love to laugh.  We love stories.  Our pastors communicate in a way that will reach you where you are.  Whether you’ve grown up in church and speak fluent “Christianese” or not, they know how to communicate to where you’ll swear they're speaking just to you.  They focus on how to apply Christ’s teaching to our daily lives.  They use their own past, their own hurts, and their humor to bring these lessons to life.  While the sermon series is the same at both services, the style of worship differs.  We have a Traditional 9am service, which features our choir, some older hymns, and even some liturgy.  At 10:30am, we have our Contemporary service, featuring our Praise Team, and a more relaxed style.
Where Do I Take My Children?
A greeter or usher will gladly show you where our children’s areas are.  We have fully staffed nurseries for newborns and Toddlers, where all of our paid workers have been through training and screening processes to ensure that your child has the best possible care.  We have first-class programs for kids of all ages, during all worship services.  Our KidSpace program will have your kids begging to come back.  Your children are always welcome to stay in worship with you as well. We love kids and need to have a little more childlike innocence in our own lives!
Do You Have Something For Youth?
During the 9am service, we have classes available for Middle School and High School students on our East Campus.  They’ll be well fed and taken care over there while you worship.  During the week, the High School group meets @ 7:00pm on Mondays for CRAVE, and the Middle School group meets @ 5:30pm on Wednesdays for Hang Ten.

How Do I Join
If you find that Mandarin Presbyterian is the church for you, there are ample opportunities each year to join.  You’ll be given the chance to attend one of our Discovery classes, which are two 90 minute classes held on Monday nights, followed by a Discovery Dinner.  That’s all there is to it! Our next new members classes will be held September 20th and 27th with a dinner on October 4th..
