Student Ministry Annual River Day:
Saturday, June 9th – 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. We need boats, jet skis, or anything else that runs on the water! This event is one of our highlights and is open to 6th – 12th graders. If you can help, contact Krista by email, or call 680-9954.

Middle School Summer Mission Camp:

Hang Ten meets every Wednesday from 5:30 – 8 p.m. on the East Campus.
RUSH GETAWAY weekend:

MPC Offshore Fishing Tournament:
Saturday, June 2nd! We will meet at the Mayport Boat Ramp at 6:00 a.m. and return by 4:00 p.m. for weigh in. Entry fee is $125 per angler and includes breakfast and lunch…you’ll have to catch your own dinner! For information contact Kini Bowers by email or call 710-1423.
Career Advancement Management Process
– aka CAMP, is a Christian ministry for job seekers that meets each Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Room 8 on the West Campus. This support group and informational program is moderated by Reiss Tatum and involves sharing information and exploring the Five Pillars of Job Seeker Performance: Positioning, Packaging, Planning, Presenting and Persisting. Specific topics include resume writing, networking, and interviewing and search management. All are welcome!
Men’s Fellowship Lunch
A group of men who get together for lunch and fellowship on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month at Santioni’s Restaurant on San Jose Blvd. Contact Randy Hester for more information by email
Joy Group
JOY (Just Older Youth) meets the second Thursday of each month following that. This is a time when the Seniors age group get together for lunch, outings and fellowship. To find out more information on this group contact Jim Mittelstadt by email or call 260.0707.
Mandarin Food Bank
MPC collects donations of non-perishable food for the Mandarin Food Bank throughout the year. Please place your donations in the Food Bank bins in the lobby behind the Information Center or at the back entrances on Sunday mornings or bring them to the church office during the week. Their need is especially great at this time. Thank you for your support!
Adult & Christian Education Events:
’40 Days In The Word’ – study:
6 week study starts Sun. May 20, 9-10 am or Wed. May 23 from 6-7pm. (The Wed. evening session is full.) Cost $10 for workbook. Sign-up by calling the church office at 680.9944. The 40 Days in the Word Study Guide is a 200 page, essential resource that takes participants through Pastor Rick Warren’s six easy to learn methods of Loving, Learning, and Living the Word.
For study alongside the 40 Days in the Word DVD, these teachings by Pastor Rick Warren will guide you and your small group through what it means to not just be “hearers” of the Word, but also “doers” of the Word! Reignite and strengthen your passion for God’s Word together with these inspirational teachings from Pastor Rick.
Third Thursday Circle
THIRD THURSDAY CIRCLE is collecting ladies costume jewelry for the City Rescue Mission Fashion Show. Please drop off donations at the Information Center in the Lobby of the West Campus or contact Linda Runyon, 505-1806. The circle ladies will be attending the Fashion Show and invite you to join them. Tickets are $10 and information can be found on the City Rescue Mission website www.crmjax.org or 387-4357.
Lee Strobel’s “Faith Under Fire”
Have you ever wondered if the Christian message was reliable? Have you ever wondered if there was any way of verifying what the Bible claims? Have you ever shied away from talking about your faith because you weren’t sure you would be able to answer other people’s questions? If you’ve had questions about the reliability of the Christian faith or even if your just curious about what can be defended, come join us in Lee Strobel’s DVD study, “Faith Under Fire,” and let’s learn how to defend our faith together!

Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University®
This program is offered at various times throughout the year. FPU educates you on how to get out of debt, and prosper from a Biblically based financial standpoint. Registration and enrollment is required for each class. The current class is underway. The next class will be January 8 and registration is open now. New Member Discovery Classes
Discovery Classes are open to all visitors who are seeking information about the Presbyterian Church in general and MPC in particular. After attending Discovery Classes, those interested in membership are invited to a New Member Dinner. The next classes are April 15 and 22 and the New Member Dinner will be April 29th. All begin at 6:30pm and are in Woody’s on the East Campus. To sign-up email the church office or call 680.9944.
