Mandarin Marriage Weekend
February 12 -13, 2016
Join Mark and Susan DeVries as they host a two-day marriage building weekend at MPC! Nothing built to last happens by accident. Your marriage is no different. A marriage that lasts begins with laying a solid foundation, squaring the corners, and setting beams that can stand up in unpredictable weather. Whether you are still pouring the wet cement or are in need of a major renovation (or somewhere in between), this weekend will encourage husbands and wives to revisit their original blueprint, sharpen their tools, and dive into the most important home-improvement project ever.
Sure, we’ll survey essential building blocks of any great marriage – money, romance, in-laws, conflict. But you’ll also get to think about marriage in ways you may never have before, with topics such as:
- Why you may need to stop working on your marriage.
- How trying to ‘communicate’ can sabotage your marriage.
- And why you can stop worrying about resolving every conflict before you go to bed.
We hope you will join us February 12-13 on the East Campus Fellowship Hall for ‘building a marriage that lasts’. You can come Friday evening February 12 at 7:30pm for a meet-n-greet with Mark and Susan, then on Saturday from 9:00am – 3:00pm we will join the DeVries as they give us the tools we need to build better marriages.
