Ladies, join us for a fun, refreshing and inspiring time. Come enjoy worship, speakers and delicious desserts baked by our celebrity bakers from our very own church. This will be a great time to meet some other ladies at the church and a wonderful event to bring a friend to. This year’s dates are: July 12, 19 and 26.
Our guest speaker for July 12 is Christy Mobley.
Christy is a gifted communicator, teacher, writer and speaker who inspires women of all ages to grow in their knowledge and relationship with Christ through life application and Biblical teaching. She’s deeply passionate about helping women find joy through seeing God at work in their everyday circumstances.
Christy is also a wife, mother, mother-in-law, and first time grandma! And she not ashamed to be called a girly girl. Early on she was convinced God gave her only boys so she wouldn’t have to share her clothes. However, now that her boys are grown and she has two daughter-in-laws, she feels quadruply blessed.
When Christy isn’t with family, speaking or writing her blog, Joying in the Journey, you can find her on the tennis court chasing down a fuzzy yellow ball.
Our guest speaker for July 19 is Sarah Kennedy.
Sarah is a west coast gal who recently said “yes” when God clearly called her and her family to leave Los Angeles and head east for a job transition for her husband. Prior to their big move last summer, Sarah served as the Director of Family Ministry at First Presbyterian Church of Granada Hills where she spent time teaching, preaching, and equipping families to pursue Jesus in each stage of life.
Here in Jacksonville she’s spent the last year building a new life for her own family–her husband Charles and her two boys Aidan (age 5) and Asher (age 2). A former Seattle-ite she is slowly adjusting to the humidity and heat of Florida and while hiding from the bugs or weather you can find her reading, writing, cooking or trying to convince her kids to eat something besides chicken nuggets.
Our guest speaker for July 26 is Inez Holger.
Inez Holger is a mother of 2 adult sons and has one exuberant grandson whom you’ll find at the donut table when he visits. Inez enjoys nature, books, gardening, and writing, along with trips back home to New England. Inez is blessed to facilitate the H.E.L.P. Ministry of MPC. To see more about this ministry visit the H.E.L.P. webpage.
